Designed for newcomers as well as experienced students, BeHot Yoga Toronto’s classes allow attendees to advance their practice at their own pace. The 60- and 90-minute Bikram Method sessions consist of a predefined sequence of two breathing exercises and 26 asanas, which stretch and strengthen muscle groups throughout the entire body while steadily improving flexibility. Additionally, the practice room’s heating panels raise the temperature to as high as 105 degrees, providing an extra challenge, but also loosening tight muscles and helping attendees safely sink deeper into the stretches. A ventilation system keeps this heat from becoming oppressive by constantly circulating fresh air throughout the room, and the studio includes separate showers, which students can use to refresh themselves before heading home or resuming their superhero duties.
