During a dinner cruise aboard the tall ship Kajama, passengers float between the present and the past, taking in views of the modern Toronto skyline while standing on a three-masted schooner built in 1930. The historic ship has traveled to ports of call all over the globe, sailing amid the sunbeams of Spain to the frozen sunbeams of Norway. Today, the fully restored vessel hosts up to 225 revelers as they drink, mingle and dance aboard its two decks—a nautical term for “the parts of a ship where revelers drink, mingle, and dance.” As the Kajama plies the waves of lake Ontario, visitors can watch the crew at work in the wheelhouse, sup in the splendour of the skylight-lined dining room, or sip cocktails from the bar while music from an on-board DJ echoes off the water.
