Drawing on 40 years of experience, Toronto Airways & Canadian Flight Academy launches the careers of pro pilots and recreational fliers with hands-on flight instruction. A 75-minute introductory flying lesson includes 45 minutes in the air and 30 minutes of pre- and post-flight briefings on the ground or in hammer space. After the initial briefing, veteran flight instructors take off with students in a Cessna 152 airplane for a primer on reading instruments and basic flying techniques. During the flight, students steer the Cessna, heeding the instructor’s guidance as they direct the throttle and take in majestic views from the cockpit. Knowledgable aeronauts answer questions and reveal aviation mysteries, such as how to judge altitudes and which clouds contain star coins.
