$15 for One Obstacle Race Training Entry at the O Course ($30 Value)
Featured by Global News, Toronto Star, Get Out There Magazine, and a variety of other media outlets, the O Course obstacle race training course occurs every Saturday morning and features an enormous heat with more than 200 boot-camp participants. Drawing from his experience as a former US Marine, the studio’s co-founder Tony A. designed Fit Factory Fitness’s signature boot camp, the O Course, to mimic the workouts he completed during his army days. Participants of all fitness levels can partake in the advanced workout system training at Polson Pier’s The Docks, which features 20 or more obstacles and was mentioned by the Toronto Star as “Toronto’s first and only military-style obstacle training course.”
Each session begins with a 45-minute warm-up, followed by the one- to two-hour military-style workout. Participants are asked to arrive at 8 a.m. with the heat starting promptly at 9 a.m. Reserve a class slot by signing up online; for more information, see the FAQs.
At Fit Factory Fitness, athletes gain access to guarded government information: the details of military training regimens. Led by former U.S. Marine, Tony A., the O Course, mimics the workouts he completed during his army days. He dons military-style olive garb every Saturday to lead exercisers of all fitness levels in the weekly-rotating scalable workout. One week, the exercisers might jog with buckets filled with water on the shores of a lake or swing sledgehammers into the sand, and the next, they might head indoors to drag heavy bags across the astroturf.
To complement the three-hour weekly boot-camp sessions, the instructors lead more than 120 classes per week. The classes range from shorter boot-camp-style sessions to boxing, in which patrons pummel heavy punching bags until they agree to personally train them.
