$69 for Craft Winemaking Experience ($199 Value)
During an initial visit, experts explain the finer points of craft winemaking before the staff assists in the yeasting process, and then ferments the chosen international wine for six to 10 weeks. Afterwards, customers return to taste their batches for quality and bottle custom brews. The experience includes labels, foils, corkage fees, and 22–23 litres of wine (approximately enough to fill 28 bottles or one extra-large punch bowl). As an added bonus, Groupon purchasers receive a free brass bottle closure, which has a retail value of $12.99. The value of this Groupon can be applied to more than 100 additional wine varieties.
The Wine Butler’s experts help customers select from more than 100 wine varieties, and then guide them through yeasting and bottling within an award-winning climate-controlled facility. Their business corks more than 270,000 bottles each year using freshly chopped dartboards and three steps: choose, make, and bottle. This simple process helps transform 100 per cent grape juice into premium wines and creates international varieties such as fruit blushes and ice wines. Additionally, the staff develops four limited-edition varieties each year. They also reach out through the One Love program, which donates a percentage of proceeds to local charities and uses old bottles to house homeless toy boats.
