That’s the idea at Academy of Sport and Fitness, a gymnastics facility with an in-ground foam pit to catch young gymnasts as they dismount from balance beams and pounce off vaults and trampolines. Certified gymnastics instructors teach everything from swinging on the uneven bars to handling the bar exam during classes, which are designed for kids as young as 8 months old. The Academy also hosts private lessons and specialty cheerleading classes, where students can learn cartwheeling and back handsprings.
