$7 for $15 Worth of Regionally Inspired Schnitzel
Sample schnitzel topped with ingredients emulating the flavours of international regions, such as the veal schnitzel topped with roasted eggplant and tahini ($15.50), or the chicken schnitzel topped with a sunny-side up egg and anchovies ($13.50). Chefs also create housemade bratwurst ($9.90), gourmet sandwiches ($7.50-$8.95), and perogies ($6.99). See the full menu.
Though German cuisine is loved around the world, it’s not exactly found on every corner. Fans of the cuisine can get their fill at SCHNITZELand, where chefs add international twists to German dishes. They begin by crafting their meats, using their own housemade bratwurst, as well as hand-breaded schnitzel to create their menu of dishes. They then top schnitzel with ingredients reminiscent of international regions. Roasted eggplant and tahini re-create Middle Eastern flavours, and zesty tomato sauce and cheese recall the central ingredients used by chefs in Parma. Each dish is paired with two sides, such as spaetzle and sauerkraut, creating meals of German delicacies that are as authentic as sautéed lederhosen.
