$89 for a One-Hour Holiday Spa Package ($244 Value)
- Vanilla-mint body wrap and massage
- Four-layer anti-aging mini facial with Clarisonic face-brush cleansing and skin-brightening treatment
- Bright Eyes rejuvenating eye treatment
- $25 worth of spa services on a future visit, such as a bikini wax ($24) or organic manicure ($30)
Aestheticians begin the session by swathing the body from the neck down in a formula of organic herbs, including vanilla, peppermint, pu-erh tea, cinnamon, and licorice root. As a sauna blanket warms the body, staff set to work cleansing, pampering, and rejuvenating the face with a spate of skin treatments. Then, a rain shower rinses the body to prepare it for a 30-minute relaxation massage.
According to Lynn Shulman, founder of Elixir Organic Spa, “Our products are so pure, you can literally eat them.” Aside from slathering the spa’s food-grade products on her face and morning toast, Shulman makes a concerted effort to bust myths about food and product labels. For instance, she says that “many products on the market are falsely labelled as ‘natural’ or ‘organic’” when they’re really packed with chemicals and toxins. This realization led her to develop a house brand of synthetic-free beauty products. Stockpiled alongside products from like-minded artisans, Elixir Organic Spa’s rinses, scrubs, and lotions permeate spa services such as the exfoliating fig enzyme facial and the Dead Sea mud and eucalyptus body wrap.
