Today’s Groupon to Luci Restaurant in Etobicoke. Choose between the following options:

  • For $79, you get a five-course tasting menu for two (a $200 value). The tasting menu includes the following and can be adjusted to accomodate vegetarians:
  1. Torta del granchio
  2. Handmade fresh cappelini
  3. Insalata di rape rosse
  4. 10-ounce rib eye or pan-seared skate wing
  5. Cheesecake
  • For $30, you get $60 worth of any Italian fare and drinks on the à la carte menu. Entrees range from $15 to $29.

Luci Restaurant’s seasoned head chef Filomena Palozzi and pastry chef Jamie Brown join culinary forces to craft fine Italian and Mediterranean fare. For the first wave of their five-course tasting menu, diners pair crab, shrimp, and scallop cakes with sweet vegetable chutney. Tongues ensnare cappelini pasta draped in truffle sauce, and bushwhack through a salad of red beets, orange, arugula, and goat cheese. Diners feast eyes and appetites on pan-seared skate wing with mushroom cigar and lemon-caper butter sauce or a 10-ounce rib-eye steak, which rents out its plate’s extra room to chive mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables without any bitter-tasting legal contracts. Chef Brown bakes apple-cinnamon cheesecake, which serves as a sweet conclusion. Though not included in the Groupon, the staff rounds out the tasting menu with an exclusive wine pairing. Diners can also wash down bites with an eclectic list of cocktails and Italian draft beers, sipped under low, recessed lighting, surrounded by fresh flowers and framed wall prints.
