The schedule’s crown jewel is the one-hour Jukari Fit to Fly class, a brainchild of Reebok’s renowned peak performance workouts and Cirque du Soleil’s acrobatic artistry. Students of all fitness levels grab hold of their own FlySet devices—weighted trapeze bars securely fastened to the gym’s ceiling—and twirl about in the air, mimicking birds playing Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Certified instructors focus the intense cardio workout on boosting upper-body strength with choreographed aerobic exercises, leaving legs free to take off and catch a show.
After an hour of sweat-addled swinging, students can try any of 15 other group fitness classes that range from plyometric power conditioning to resistance-based boot camps. Stilettos click against hardwood floors as gals pump, dip, and stomp calories into submission in the Nuvo-Burlesque in Heels class. Alternatively, the Fight Club course combines the best of aerobic boxing drills and strength movements to help carry the extra weight of a second head.
