John teaches students from beginner to advanced levels in group classes and private lessons. His students (and those who know him) recognize him for his good character, his dance knowledge, and his professionalism. John is found to be a patient and enthusiastic teacher, a versatile dancer, and an open minded, creative artist/choreographer.

In John’s formative years, he grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia in a family and social environment strongly immersed in music. From a very early age, he excelled in music. His main instrument was lead guitar. He went on to explore a successful career in the music business as a performing lead guitarist. His live performances were for audiences up to 40,000 people.
