Since its first performance in the United Kingdom in 2006, The Merchants of Bollywood has earned a slew of positive praise from a variety of respected sources, including The Times of London and The New York Times. The show, which features a cast of 40 performers from the Film City of Mumbai, utilizes extravagant costumes and upbeat English and Hindi songs to depict the glamourous story of a famous filmmaking dynasty. Performed in English, the show bonds elements of colour, movement, and melodrama to entertain audiences with an excitement paralleled only by finding a $20 bill in your winter coat.
Since 1960, the Sony Centre for The Performing Arts has served as Canada’s largest soft-seat theatre space for an assortment of performances and shows.
